A Legionella Risk Assessment is an essential part of protecting your employees and the public from exposure to the bacteria.

It identifies all water systems where Legionella bacteria could potentially grow and assesses the risk of people being exposed to the contamination.

The risk assessment, which is required by law, involves one of our highly trained assessors visiting a location and making an assessment of the water system’s potential to be colonised by Legionella bacteria and the factors which could be favourable for their continued growth.

It involves a thorough inspection of the water system and water temperatures being taken - the bacteria multiply where temperatures are between 20-45°.

Once a site assessment has been carried out, our risk assessors will produce a comprehensive and fully explained report, identifying risks, appropriate control measures and any remedial action that needs to be taken to meet the legal requirements.

The assessment should be reviewed at least every two years.
